Star Wars Wedding

While we were at netball yesterday, we were excited to see a Wedding taking place at the local park with the usual: bride, groom, family and friends and what....Storm Troopers! There were people dressed up as Storm troopers surrounding the whole wedding proceedings. I guess they are star wars fans - but it was very entertaining to watch!

Our Netball Girl!

This year Eryn took the plunge and told us she wanted to play netball. Any who know Eryn, know that her talents lie in creative writing etc, so we weren't sure how she would go. Eryn joined the Springwood Seals and hasn't looked back. They play every Saturday and we have been impressed at her commitment and skill in such a short time of playing. Ofcourse, this means that Saturdays are taken up with Soccer in the Morning, a quick lunch and then Netball in the afternoon - but since the fields are only up the road, the sacrifice isn't too great. Well done Eryn!

Mothers Day in May

I know the photo's not that great - but the great thing about mothers day this year was going to Morgans Kindy Mothers Day Concert. The children had prepared some lovely songs, food (yes they cooked) and presents. Morgan gave me a beautiful rock/stone in a box that she made. Ofcourse the box was so beautiful that she didn't want to part with it - and she made sure that I knew only the rock was for me not the box!!!! They finished the events off with the kids and mums dancing and singing together - the song was " Skiddley dinkey dinkey dink - I love you!". Thanks Morgan

Soccer Season Begins

Well, they were a little late getting started with all of the public holidays this time of year - but Lachlan has started back with the Celtics Soccer Team. They have played together for the past two years, so they know each others strengths and weaknesses pretty well. Here's to a great season.

Farewell Family

Today we said goodbye to my little brother, his wife and two beautiful boys. They are heading back to Texas. We all managed to keep in the tears, but I miss them heaps already. They will be in the air right now - so I'm hoping that the flight back for them is as stress free as possible. Can't wait until the next time they come, or when we visit. Till then....

Morgan turns 4

Whilst on our holiday we celebrated Morgans 4th birthday. Grandpa treated her to a special marshmallow cake with the doll on top. We had a bbq on the beach and spent the afternoon enjoying the water. Unfortunately I didn't bring along any candles, so we told Morgan that she would still get a wish if she blew the dolls hair instead! Morgan is such a fun child - always full of great excitement whilst still being able to throw a great "paddy!". We love her and know that her great love of life and people will be a great asset to her in years to come. Happy Birthday Morgan.

Holiday @ Caloundra

After enjoying a lovely Easter weekend, we headed up the coast to stay with my extended family at Caloundra. Despite it raining quite hard whilst we were checking in, each day became sunnier and sunnier. We spent our days going to the Big Pineapple (so I could have the kids enjoy their delicious sundaes which are worth the trip!), playing at the beach, (only to later find out that one of the beaches we swam at could of had traces of sewerage from a nearby leak!Yuk! Well luckily most of us didn't actually go in the water that day!) swimming in the pool, sleepovers, eating and just doing nothing. It was a great break and on our way home we stopped in at Alma Park Zoo. It hadn't really changed much since we were last there 7 years ago, and the mud from the previous rain added a new element of fun! But overall, the kids thought it was fun.
