The news just came in that Wicked is finally heading to Brisbane. Yipeee! I saw it in New York and loved it. Eryn saw it in Sydney, and now I get to bask in that Defying Gravity joy once again. Can't wait!!

Masterchef Addicts

Lately, my kids are thoroughly enjoying this season of 'Masterchef'. It takes a group of amateur chefs/cooks and puts them through challenges & eliminations until one is the winner. Since starting to watch it last year, Lachlan has taken up cooking and my girls also are donning their aprons more. It also makes me realise how much I need to improve on my cooking skills. Like, one of the challenges was to take a bag of lemons and make a lemon tart. The contestants in the challenge had to think up in their own minds how to make the entire recipe and then present the finished dish. It sent me to my Year 8 cooking textbook, because I didn't have a clue either. Last night as we were talking about the show over dinner, the kids were rating my cooking. The numbers weren't that great, until Morgan said " 10 out of 10". I was pretty impressed, since she hardly ate any. So I asked " Well, if you gave it a ten, why didn't you eat very much?" To which she replied " The judges only eat little bits!" I should have know that!

Return from Camp & more Crawling

Eryn just arrived home today from Year 6 camp at Tallebugerra. She had a wonderful time, but is completely exhausted and tired. Before she left, I dug out my old 'Camp Tallebudgerra' stuff. We ended up both being in the 'Pelican's group. It was fun reading through my camp diary. Unfortunately I don't have the same creative writing skills as Eryn. My diary was filled with sentences like 'real fun', and apparently breakfast was 'real nice'! While she was away, Addison has gotten 'real good' at crawling. She will now make her way around the house on the floor, and when she gets to the room that you are in, she will poke her face around and giggle that she has finally found you. What a delight she is.
It's funny how my three girls are all so different. This afternoon when I picked Morgan up from school, I found out that she had met the the speech therapist - to help with her speech. I said, " What did she do/talk to you about?", " Not telling"!

Addison Crawling
Addison will turn 11 months next week. Just yesterday she started crawling for the first time. Here is a video of her crawling along with her perfected talent of clapping her hands. We think it's pretty cute, but then again, we are biased!!
