The Brisbane Ekka (or exhibition) has been on during this last fortnight. One day I'll take the kids to experience the country coming to the city - but for now, I treat them each year to the best thing about the show - Strawberry Sundaes. There is nothing else like them. You start with fresh strawberries in the bottom of a cone, followed by cream, then vanilla icecream, then fresh strawberries, then strawberry icecream, then cream and a whole strawberry on top. Just delicious. Thankfully, you can buy them at the Pimpama Strawberry Farm - without paying the $56 entrance fee to the Ekka. (This photo is only an idea - I couldn't find one of the actual real deal!)
