Trip to Melbourne and we have entered the IKEA zone

I failed to update the blog when Dad actually gained full time employment last month with the international shopping giant IKEA. After his LONG break from full-time work he worried that he might not be able to get the hang of it anymore. But he has done just fine. He currently works from the store at Springwood, which is a 3 minute drive (a very nice change) and does some commuting to Sydney & Melbourne when needed. So far he is really enjoying it. We have yet to take advantage of the staff discount but I'm hoping to put in a new IKEA kitchen in the next few weeks. During this last week, Dad made his first trip to Melbourne for some training, and I decided to join him for a day and a half. (Thanks Grandma) Well, I enjoyed all the usual Melbourne things, great shopping, gelati, catching trams around town, dinner and even caught a great movie while I was there. The only catch was that I had my luggage stolen from the hotel. Luckily I pack very light! and had only packed for one night - but it seemed a little funny that I would travel all that way for one night and then to have my luggage stolen. The only valuable thing was my scriptures, but hopefully I will be reimbursed for them. Note to self: next time, Keep your luggage by your side at all times!!
