Last weekend I took the kids and we took part in the historic opportunity to walk the new Gateway bridge. Our plan was to go before we went to church so we probably stood out like a sore thumb in our formal clothes compared to everyone else. We had to park the car and walk to catch the shuttle buses because all the surrounding roads were closed. We had to walk so far just to get to the start that we only made it to the 300m mark. We also found Eryns artwork which was a part of a display for the special occasion. The only scary bit was when an ambulance was brought onto the bridge and we were in the large group of people who were brought to a complete standstill for about 10 mins. That was a terrible feeling to be squashed and not be able to move. It was a fun way to take part in such a historic day.
