On Monday afternoon Dan, Morgan, Lachlan and I set off for our last drive to Armidale. (Well last for Dan's work!) This time of year is just beautiful with all the autumn colours that you get on the trees. Although the job for Dan has been hard, I really like that part of Australia. The whole New England area is so appealling to me. The style of housing, the cooler climate and the beautiful scenery is breathtaking. We visited our usual haunts - the movie theatre( once again we were the only ones there to watch 'Horton Hears a Who')http://www.belgravecinema.com.au/, lunch at Caffiends on Marsh (they make the best sandwiches you have ever tasted)http://armidalecoffeeshops.com/ and had Hot Chocolates at McDonalds! Unfortunately, getting into the car, just about to drive home, I stepped down from a ledge and twisted my ankle. It has swollen up like a balloon - but I'm sure I'll be okay in a couple of days. It is sad to leave that part of the country - but it will be nice to have Dan around more. He said he'll fly down for the next two weeks and then the flat/office will be closed. Yippee!
