Exploring

We have started exploring some more sites of Sydney. Just around the corner from our home is EG Whitehouse Camelia Gardens. They are beautiful gardens named after Captain James Cook's wife. The kids had fun walking along the different 'garden paths', but I was fascinated by the plaque about her, stating that during their married life they hardly spent anytime together - due to his travelling the seas and dying.

We also took a ferry over to beautiful Manly beach. Unfortunately mother nature had different ideas, and it is a little hard to enjoy the beach when it is raining. It did stop long enough for us to go for a little walk up to 'Shelley beach' where there is the quaint 'Le Kiosk'. It is a cute little beach and Dan has committed to taking me to dinner there when we get a chance.
