USA Trip - Houston Texas

It was great to finally meet Andrews two little boys - Thomas and Jack. Thomas is such a charachter and Jack is a great baby. It was great to spend the day-to-day time with them. Morgan and Thomas spent a lot of time playing together and it was nice for her to have someone close to her age to play with. However they did have some anger issues that they are still working on - but now that we are home - Morgan really misses Thomas! It was also nice to talk with and hang out with Andrew and Callie. Whilst in Houston, I couldn't get over all the gigantic Freeways everywhere and you really can't survive without a GPS! We went to the Houston Zoo, the NASA space center, Brazos Bend Alligator Park, did some shopping (at Pottery Barn ofcourse!) went to Church, caught up with old friends, ate some of Andrews great dinners made on the Grill (I've realised that all cuts of meat in Texas are huge compared to ours!) took the kids to the park, watched the squirrels, ate Mini-Wheats with Thomas (everyday!!) and went to the Temple. Whilst there we ate Tex Mex ( Mexican but with melted cheese over it), Rhodes cinnamon scrolls (still wish you could get them here), Sonic Banana Pudding Shakes (yum)and Chilli's ofcourse. Dan and Andrew went to a Houston Rockets basketball game and we enjoyed watching Saturday College football (It is on all day Saturday and Monday night and Friday and Sunday etc!). We had such a lovely time and then drove up to Dallas to catch our plane home. The time at the airports during our trip were made so much better by being able to go in the Qantas/American Lounges (thanks to all of Dans travelling last year). We finally arrived back in sunny Queensland on Thursday, 16th October - only to be met by grey skies and rain. And even better to be met by Eryn and Lachlan who we missed so much!
